We want recitations.org to be usable by as many people as possible and aim to meet the WCAG 2.1 level AA guidelines.

What we do

• The interface is available in multiple languages.
• Text aims for sufficient colour contrast against the dark background.
• The site works without creating accounts and without requiring the microphone to read content.

Known limitations

Some features are inherently visual or audio-based and may be harder to use with assistive technology:

• Real-time pitch (svara) visualisations are drawn on a canvas and may not be fully conveyed by screen readers.
• Practice exercises rely on listening and vocalising, which may not suit all users.

We are working to improve these over time.
